Mailing and Shipping Containers
Mailing and shipping containers can be used to transport culture packs, serums, vaccines, or laboratory specimens. Insulated containers are ideal for refrigerated or frozen materials. Diagnostic containers for specimen transfer are liquid tight and tamper evident. Hard cases can be used for dry ice and wet ice storage, short-term frozen storage, field collection, or cryogenic testing.
Mailing and shipping containers are used to maintain the temperature and integrity of items during transport, including culture packs, serums, vaccines, or laboratory specimens. Insulated containers are ideal for refrigerated or frozen materials and consist of plastic foam enclosed within a corrugated cardboard box.
Containers for diagnostic or clinical specimen transfer may need to be liquid-tight and tamper-evident. Hard cases can be used for dry ice and wet ice storage, short-term frozen storage, field collection, and cryogenic testing.
Shipping and mailing packaging may be tested and certified for temperature maintenance ability. The packaging may also have labels to indicate approval by the Department of Transportation (DOT) or International Air Transport Association (IATA) for shipping potentially infectious or biohazardous materials.

Labelmaster Inc Special Permit Packaging DOT-SP-9168, 32 oz. Bottle
This fully assembled Special Permit Packaging, DOT-SP 9168, 32 oz. bottle kit can be used to ship Packing Groups I, II or III materials by all modes of transport (see Special Permit for details). The exemption packages can be used to ship solids or liquid materials with a specific gravity of 2.0 or less. Special Permit Packaging DOT-SP 9168 meets Procedure 1A requirements and is accepted by UPS and FedEx as an exemption package. The DOT-SP 9168 kits carry an exemption that allows you to ship Hazard Classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 domestically without using a hazard class label.
